Sinopsis: Un científico planea el golpe perfecto en colaboración con tres ladrones: robar un tren lleno de oro y permanecer 100 años en animación suspendida en unos artefactos creados por él. Así, cuando salgan, podrán gastar el dinero robado sin que nadie se extrañe. Pero las cosas no siempre salen como se han planeado...

Curiosidades:
- El título (y la analogía de uno de los personajes) hace referencia a una historia escrita por Washington Irving. Rip Van Winkle era un hombre que, poco antes de la revolución americana, se pierde en el bosque y se queda dormido. Cuando despierta han pasado 20 años, y al regresar a su aldea descubre que su familia ha fallecido y se mete en líos por declararse súbdito del por entonces depuesto rey Jorge III.
